HDD Compatibility Update – Seagate 14TB Muti-Actuator Enterprise HDD

Accusys's disk array products already support Seagate Exos 2x14 14TB 4Kn Muti-Actuator enterprise hard drives(model ST14000NM0001). With Gamma Carry, the performance of MAC APFS in RAID 5 can reach a read speed of 2434 MB/s and a write speed of 1827 MB/s, providing a stable and high-performance storage solution.

This hard drive has passed the performance, sustainability, and stability tests of the following products.

• T-Share series: A16T3-Share & A12T3-Share
• Gamma series: Gamma Carry, Gamma 12 & Gamma 8
• ExaSAN series: ExaSAN Carry, A16S3-PS, A12S3-PS & A08S4-PS

Seagate 14TB Muti-Actuator enterprise hard drive can provide excellent output performance of storage system in 8K production environment. In the past, the bandwidth that required the use of 12 or even 16 hard drives can now be achieved with only 8 Seagate Exos 2X14, which greatly improves the overall cost performance ratio.

Take Gamma Carry as an example, the 8K performance test results using this hard drive are shown in the figure below:

*Precautions: 

Because this model is a 4Kn hard drive, you must select Sector size: 4096 Bytes when creating an Array, as shown in the figure below:
